Job summary

Four Seasons Beverly Wilshire in Beverly Hills is seeking a part-time CUT Food Runner who shares a passion for excellence and enthusiastic service. The Food Runner supports the kitchen and food servers, ensuring proper setup and timely delivery of plates.

You will work closely with a renowned Wolfgang Puck team, handle station maintenance, and uphold the brand's standards in a fast-paced, indoor dining environment.

Qualifications

We are looking for experienced, dynamic and driven Food Runner to join Wolfgang Puck team at Cut Beverly Hills.

Job Summary:

The Food Runner is responsible for assisting the Kitchen and Food Servers with food service, proper set-up and maintenance of functioning spaces, as well as serving guests and keeping the side stations clean and well stocked.

Essential Job Functions:

• Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
• Ensures all service stations in the kitchen are stocked and ready for service.
• Removes soiled dishes from table; brings to dish washing area.
• Completes set up and teardown of banquet and dining events as assigned.
• Sets tables with silverware, glassware and other items.
• Removes soiled linen, restocks work area with clean linens.
• Stocks servers’ station with supplies.
• Restocks bus station continually with ice, coffee, teas and other supplies.
• Inform a manager and or server if guests have any issues when food is delivered
• Does other job-related duties as assigned

Education:

High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)

Required Experience:

• Minimum 2 years runner experience
• Must have excellent knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions
• Must be self-motivated and customer service oriented
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
• Open availability; must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for extended periods of time, twist at the neck and trunk, bend at the waist and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, reach overhead, above shoulders and horizontally. Employees will use hands to handle objects and tools, and operate service equipment. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40-pound objects. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Employees may use vision to monitor food quality and quantity and may also order supplies, etc.

Work Conditions:

May require evening and weekend hours. While performing the duties of this job, the employee generally works in an indoor front of restaurant and kitchen environment with exposure to heat from ovens, hot foods and steamers and cleaning chemicals, fumes, equipment, and metal objects. You will usually be based indoors, splitting your time between the front of the restaurant and the kitchen. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but may be loud dependent on specific work site and/or equipment operation. The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

We are looking for individuals who have ability to accurately read food tickets and communicate orders with the kitchen and servers. Previous experience of 1 year desired. Applicants are required to have high analytical and organizational skills. Speaking, writing and reading English is required. This position requires an applicant with a flexible schedule and the ability to work different shifts and some weekends.
