Job summary

Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills is seeking an experienced kitchen leader to supervise the cold production area in a luxury hotel setting. You will train and motivate staff, help plan menus for events, and ensure consistent quality and presentation across all dishes.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in a luxury hotel kitchen in a supervisory or assistant manager role, strong knowledge of banquet events, and fluent English.

Qualifications

• Two to three years’ experience in a luxury hotel kitchen in a supervisory or assistant manager role.
• Knowledge of food and beverage banquet events, food and cost control, and labor control.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Select, train, lead and coach kitchen staff to meet established cultural and core standards.
• Plan and develop menus for the hotel, ensure correct preparation and presentation of all items, coordinate banquet details and manage labor and budgeting.
• Ensure sanitation standards and compliance with regulations, maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen.
• Maintain quality and portion control, monitor shipments to meet purchasing specs and quality.
• Communicate with managers and attend meetings to coordinate across departments.

What we expect:

Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all employees in the Kitchen’s cold food production area to ensure thatestablishedcultural and core standards are met; daily activities and operational planning.

• Assistin the planning and development of menus for the hotel, ensure the correct preparation and presentation of a consistent level for all food items prepared through production and demonstration, check and coordinate details of each banquet function according to banquet event order. Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting,purchasingdecisions, and inventory control.

• Ensure that sanitation standards as set forth by Four Seasons, local, state, and federal regulationsare in complianceas well as the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen.

• Maintain control systems which will assure quality andportionconsistency,monitorfood shipments to ensure they meet established purchasing specifications as well and foster an awareness of the importance of food preparation and quality

• Communicate with employees and managers to ensure operational needs are met as well as attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.

Ideal candidate will have

• Two to three yearspreviousexperiencein a luxury hotel kitchen, supervisory or assistant manager position in Food & Beverage.

• Knowledge of food & beveragebanquet events,food andcost control,andlabor control.

• Requires reading, writing and oralproficiencyin the English language.

• This position requires an applicant with a flexible schedule and the ability to work all shifts,weekendsand holidays.
