Job summary

JBS in Marshalltown, Iowa, is seeking a Cut Floor General Foreman to oversee the cut floor production, direct supervisors on production volume, quality, cost and meeting schedules, and to study the daily production plan.

You will train and develop supervisors to provide management depth, review the schedule, ensure machinery and facilities are maintained and sanitized, and sustain good employee relations while complying with labor contract provisions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required; college training preferred.
• Minimum 3 years' supervisory experience in a processing plant.
• Extensive knowledge of products.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Bi-lingual helpful but not required.

General Description: Assist in overseeing entire cut floor production. Direct supervisors with respect to production volume, quality, cost and meeting production schedules and delivery dates. Train and develop supervisors to provide management depth and develop teamwork to attain department objectives. Review daily production schedule to plan work and personnel assignments. Monitor and confirm that machinery, equipment and facilities are properly maintained and sanitized. Maintain good employee relations and adherence to labor contract provisions.

Required skills:

• Extensive knowledge of products.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Bi-lingual helpful but not required.
• Extensive knowledge and technical skill in a variety of production jobs.
• Minimum 3 years' supervisory experience in processing plant industry.
