An established industry player is seeking a detail-oriented individual to coordinate customs documentation for imports. Responsible for coordinating the documentation required by US Customs and Government Agencies for the entry of goods into the US on behalf of importers.
Provide impeccable customer service.
Obtain correct classification of goods for customs release from databases, SOPs, tariff books, internet, or customs.
Data entry and processing of various import-related documentation for submission to US Customs, including handling all PGAs (Participating Government Agencies).
Maintain and keep current all shipment documentation in compliance with record-keeping requirements.
Adhere to all international importing and exporting regulations.
Work closely with internal staff, departments, other FedEx operations, and customers to deliver high-level service.
Process agency brokerage shipments.
May handle remote filings.
Ensure compliance with all government and organizational policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Paid training provided.
HS Diploma or GED required; no industry experience necessary. Minimum of 6 months work experience preferred. Data entry/keyboard skills required. Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, and office equipment (phone, fax, photocopier, printer, scanner). Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle high volumes of time-sensitive work independently.
Ability to use multiple systems and reference materials. Interact with customers, carriers, brokers, government agencies, internal staff, and management at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications: Monday - Friday, 6 pm – 2:30 am. This role is remote; candidates must reside in Memphis, TN.
Pay Transparency: This range is an estimate of the starting salary across potential locations. Actual pay depends on experience, market, location, and other factors. Eligible employees may receive additional pay, premiums, or bonuses. Benefits include health, vision, dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
Pay: $13.58 - $21.47, with a typical starting rate of $18.15.
