Job description

Job Responsibilities

1. Coordinate documentation required by US Customs and Government Agencies for the entry of goods into the US on behalf of importers.
2. Provide excellent customer service.
3. Obtain correct classification of goods for customs release using databases, SOPs, tariff books, internet, or customs resources.
4. Perform data entry and processing of import documentation for submission to US Customs, including handling all Participating Government Agencies (PGAs).
5. Maintain and keep current all shipment documentation in compliance with record-keeping requirements.
6. Adhere to international importing and exporting regulations.
7. Collaborate with internal staff, departments, FedEx operations, and customers to deliver high-quality service.
8. Process agency brokerage shipments and handle remote filings as needed.
9. Ensure compliance with all government and organizational policies.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required. No industry experience necessary; 6 months of work experience preferred.
• Data entry and keyboarding skills required.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, and office equipment (phone, fax, photocopier, printer, scanner).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle high volume and time-sensitive work independently.
• Ability to use multiple systems and reference materials, and interact effectively with customers, carriers, brokers, government agencies, and internal staff.

Additional Details

This role is remote; candidates must reside in Memphis, TN. The shift is Monday - Friday, 6pm – 2:30am, with overtime and holidays. Salary ranges from $13.58 to $21.47, with a typical starting rate of $18.15. FedEx Logistics offers health, vision, dental insurance, retirement plans, and tuition reimbursement.
