Ideal candidates have 1+ years in customs entry filing, strong data-entry speed, and knowledge of CBP rules, HTS classification, and international shipping terms.

Requirements (from highest priority onward)

• 1+ years of hands-on experience with customs entry filing
• Proven data entry experience with high speed and accuracy

• Day to Day:

We are looking for a Customs Entry Writer to join our team for five days onsite in Miami. This role is primarily responsible for preparing and filing customs entries, managing import documentation, resolving issues with Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and serving as the primary backup for Purchase Order (PO) documentation management. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing commercial invoices, packing lists, and arrival notices to verify country of origin, item pricing, and applicable special trade provisions. Once verified, the Entry Writer inputs and processes this data into EDI-Trade based on the estimated time of arrival (ETA) at the port, ensuring all shipments clear customs without delay. The ideal candidate will have strong foundational import knowledge, learn internal software systems quickly, and possess fast typing skills to keep pace with high-volume shipment workflows.
