Job summary

D.B. Group, a global logistics and customs firm, seeks a Customs Brokerage Entry Writer in Stockbridge (Atlanta). You will analyze and validate import documents, enter required data, and maintain clear communication with US Customs, clients, and colleagues.

The role emphasizes accuracy, regulatory knowledge, and timely responses. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in entry writing, strong knowledge of HTSUS and FDA requirements, and proven ability to troubleshoot regulatory issues.

Qualifications

  • Organized, detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth knowledge in classification, FDA, and clearance-related requirements.
  • 3–5 years of experience in U.S. entry writing and related processes.
  • Solid understanding of U.S. Customs regulations and import entry procedures.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply U.S. Customs regulations and troubleshoot entry issues (ABI, ACE, AMS).
  • Knowledge of HTSUS and customs valuation principles.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and validate import documentation and data per laws before entry submission to U.S. Customs and PGAs.
  • Enter shipment and customs data into brokerage software.
  • Communicate results and respond to CGPAs, clients, and team clearly; review customs rejections.
  • Prioritize work based on ETA, service levels, and transportation mode.
  • Provide exceptional customer service under supervision by informing clients of shipment status.
  • Classify entries per SOP and guidance from Licensed Customs Broker/Classification Specialist.

Your Role

As Customs Brokerage Entry Writer you will play a key role in supporting our Customs Brokerage Team.

In this position, you will be responsible for :
  • Analyze and validate import documentation and data to ensure they are in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations prior to entry submission to U.S Customs and Partner Government Agencies (PGA)
  • Enter required shipment data and customs data into the brokerage software.
  • Communicate and provide timely responses to US Customs or other PGAs, clients, coworkers, and supervisors in a clear, and concise manner. Review and monitor all Customs rejections
  • Prioritize work based on estimated time of arrival, (ETA) and product service level, last free day, and transportation mode.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service, under the limited supervision and advice of the department supervisor or manager, by proactively informing clients of shipment status.
  • Classify entries as per the client SOP, Parts Database, and or/direction from Licensed Customs Broker/Classification Specialist.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines, assigned work schedules, and attendance requirements.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelors / GED / High School Diploma
  • Organized, detail oriented and exceptional Problem-Solving Skills
  • In-depth knowledge in classification, FDA, and clearance-related requirements.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in Entry Writing.
  • Sound knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and import entry procedures.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply U.S. Customs regulations and troubleshoot basic Customs entry issues (ABI, ACE, AMS).
  • In-depth knowledge of tariff classification, FDA requirements, customs clearance procedures, and import compliance.
  • Experience preparing and processing U.S. import customs entries and related documentation.
  • Knowledge of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS) and customs valuation principles.
Location: Stockbridge (Atlanta)
  • Gross Annual Salary: $55,000 - $70,000, commensurate with experience and seniority,
