Job summary

Savino Del Bene USA Inc. seeks a dedicated Customs Entry Writer to join our Carson, CA-based customs brokerage team. This on-site role emphasizes accurate filings and compliance for ISF and various agency clearances.

The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of customs brokerage experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Training is provided, and the position offers full-time employment and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have 2–3 years of relevant customs brokerage experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; comfortable with multitasking.
• On-site work requirement.

Responsibilities

• Utilize ACE/ABI systems for customs entry processing.
• Apply knowledge of the U.S. Harmonized Tariff Schedule.
• File ISF and customs entries, including clearances for agencies such as FDA, USDA, APHIS, TTB, FSIS, TSCA, etc.
• Collaborate with internal departments to collect necessary documentation.
• Monitor release status and coordinate inspections when required.
• Issue Delivery Orders and coordinate with trucking partners.
• Ensure compliance with federal regulations throughout the clearance process.
• Complete billing in a timely manner.
• Conduct self-audits to ensure all customs formalities are met before closing files.
• Stay current with industry regulations and updates.
• Familiarity with additional government agencies (FDA, USDA, Fish & Wildlife, EPA) is a plus.
