Job summary

Savino Del Bene, a Global Freight Forwarding Company, is seeking an experienced Customs Entry Writer to join our US team in Illinois. The role focuses on clearing goods through US Customs for all import shipments, ensuring timely, compliant, and economical processing.

You will file entries, maintain documentation, coordinate with multiple departments, and stay up to date with FDA, USDA, and other agency requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2-3 years Brokerage experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized with professional demeanor.
• Team player with flexible attitude.

Responsibilities

• File entries and complete all required documentation for US Customs processing.
• Provide HTS guidance, ISF filing, and import freight quotes.
• Classify goods and obtain necessary documents (invoices, origin certificates).
• Coordinate with customer service and other departments to ensure compliance and timely filings.
• Maintain knowledge of ACE/ABI systems and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Monitor processes to comply with federal regulations and duties.
• Communicate with government agencies as needed to resolve issues.
• Prepare and file documentation according to company standards.
