Job summary

Richard G Fleischer Jr is seeking a detail-oriented Customs Entry Writer for our Los Angeles, CA team. You will play a key role in international trade compliance, ensuring accurate customs clearance and timely client updates in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Ideal candidates have experience in customs brokerage, knowledge of CBP regulations, HTS classification, and familiarity with entry software. Join us to support efficient import/export operations in one of the nation’s busiest trade

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Customs Entry Writer or in a customs brokerage environment.
• Working knowledge of CBP regulations, HTS classification, and trade compliance.
• Familiarity with customs entry software and ABI/ACE filing systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple entries simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Licensed Customs Broker designation is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, deadline-driven environment.
• Experience with Cargo Wise.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit customs entry documentation in compliance with CBP regulations.
• Classify imported goods using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS).
• Coordinate with importers, freight forwarders, and government agencies to facilitate cargo release.
• Review commercial invoices, bills of lading, and packing lists for accuracy.
• Monitor and resolve customs holds, exams, and compliance issues.
• Maintain accurate records and entry files in accordance with recordkeeping requirements.
• Communicate entry status updates to clients in a timely manner.
