Job summary

Laufer Group International in the United States is seeking a detail-oriented Customs Entry Writer to join our Customs Brokerage team. You will prepare and process U.S.

customs entries, ensure CBP and PGA compliance, and deliver exceptional service to import customers. Work collaboratively with clients, government agencies, carriers, and internal teams to ensure shipments clear customs accurately and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of Customs Brokerage or Customs Entry experience.
• Working knowledge of CBP regulations and PGA requirements.
• Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) designation preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and process customs entries for import shipments in compliance with CBP and PGA rules.
• Manage end-to-end customs clearance for Laufer and non-Laufer shipments.
• File ISF accurately and within deadlines.
• Review invoices, packing lists, and shipping docs for accuracy.
• Classify products using HTS and maintain product databases.
• Monitor shipment status and provide updates to customers.
• Coordinate with CBP, PGAs, carriers, and terminals to resolve clearance issues.
• Arrange freight releases and final delivery when needed.
• Process Post Summary Corrections and other post-entry work.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliant transactions.
• Stay current on regulations and best practices through training.
