Job summary

Laufer Group International is seeking a detail-oriented Customs Entry Writer to join our Customs Brokerage team. You will prepare and process U.S.

customs entries, ensure CBP compliance, and deliver exceptional service to import customers. Collaborate with clients, government agencies, ocean carriers, and internal teams to clear shipments accurately and efficiently while staying current on trade regulations and best practices.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Customs Brokerage or Customs Entry experience.
• Knowledge of CBP regulations and PGA requirements.
• Familiarity with HTS classification and import documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and process customs entries for import shipments per CBP/PGA regulations.
• Manage end-to-end customs clearance for Laufer and non-Laufer shipments.
• File ISF accurately and on time.
• Review invoices, packing lists, and documents for compliance.
• Classify products using HTS and maintain product databases.
• Monitor shipment status and communicate updates to customers.
• Coordinate with CBP, PGAs, lines, forwarders and carriers.
• Arrange freight releases and final delivery when needed.
• Process Post Summary Corrections and other post-entry tasks.
• Maintain accurate records and stay current on regulations.
