Job summary

GEODIS, a global 3PL, is seeking a Compliance Supervisor in Carson, CA. The role leads a Customs compliance team, develops procedures, and resolves broker and carrier issues while maintaining strong client relationships.

Requirements include 5+ years in the field, 2+ years supervisory experience, and a Customs Broker License preferred. Proficiency with MS Office is required. Shift is Monday–Friday 8–5.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination
• Minimum 2 years experience in a supervisory capacity
• Customs Broker License preferred
• Must be PC literate and proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials and regulations
• Ability to write reports and procedures
• Ability to present information to managers, clients, and the public
• Ability to solve practical problems in varying situations

Responsibilities

• Develops plans based on customer specifications
• Provides rate quotes to clients
• Reviews processes and implements new procedures
• Assists teams in resolving Customs and carrier issues
• Maintains positive customer relationships
• Prepares and monitors various Customs compliance and broker management reports
• Trains, coaches, and supervises team members
• Manages Post Entry reviews and performs audits
• Uses knowledge of processes to resolve problems per industry standards
• Monitors AP/AR discrepancies and addresses accounting issues
• Addresses disciplinary and performance issues as needed
