Job summary

RTX Corporation's Enterprise Services Customs Operations (ESCO) is seeking a Customs Continuous Improvement Lead to plan, organize, and execute day-to-day import/export activities in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. You will drive the continuous improvement program and ensure compliance at the speed of business.

You will lead documentation, controls monitoring, and governance, work with cross-functional teams, and develop training to strengthen RTX’s Global Trade capabilities.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 8 years in Customs/Global Trade or 5 years with advanced degree.
• Licensed Customs Broker / Certified Customs Specialist / or experience working in these areas.

Responsibilities

• Determine assessment and controls organizational objectives, provide strategic guidance for Customs import and export declaration controls monitoring for desired results.
• Implement and oversee clear customs process documentation, aligning stakeholders to achieve results.
• Collaborate with other members of the organization to verify compliance and adherence to released company-wide policies and procedures.
• Leverage Trade Regulation expertise, knowledge of regulators’ intent, and understanding of RTX’s core business processes to ensure controls and recommended corrective actions yield a balanced risk portfolio.
• Develop and deliver training.
• Identify and report any potential violations of trade compliance laws and compliance violations and any incidents involving significant weaknesses in processes or procedures.
