RTX, the world’s leading aerospace and defense company, invites you to join Enterprise Services ESCO as a Customs Continuous Improvement Lead in a hybrid role. You will plan, organize, and execute day-to-day operations in a regulated export/import environment, driving compliance at the speed of business and serving as the focal point for procedure management across Customs and Global Trade.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 8 years prior relevant Customs and/or Global Trade experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
• Licensed Customs Broker / Certified Customs Specialist / or experience working in these areas.
• Experience in CFR19 U.S. Customs regulations with experience in any of these areas; HS Classification, Free Trade Agreement qualification, Customs Valuations, Country of Origin determination.

Responsibilities

• Determines assessment and controls organizational objectives, provide strategic guidance for Customs import and export declaration controls monitoring for desired results.
• Implement and oversee clear customs process documentation, aligning stakeholders to achieve results.
• Collaborate with other members of the organization to verify compliance and adherence to released company-wide policies and procedures.
• Leverage Trade Regulation expertise, knowledge of regulators’ intent, and understanding of RTX’s core business processes to ensure controls and recommended corrective actions yield a balanced risk portfolio.
• Develop and deliver training.
• Identify and report any potential violations of trade compliance laws and compliance violations and any incidents involving significant weaknesses in processes or procedures.
