GEODIS is seeking a Customs Brokerage Operations Manager in New York to lead daily operations, coordinate with teams, onboard customers, and ensure accurate processing of regulatory requirements.

The role emphasizes people leadership, process improvement, and maintaining customer relationships to support compliance and efficiency across daily activities.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years relevant customs brokerage experience or equivalent.
• Licensed Customs Broker strongly preferred.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Effective presentation skills.
• Problem solving complex issues.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate daily communication and resolve day-to-day issues.
• Lead troubleshooting to analyze root causes and implement solutions.
• Monitor productivity and assign new accounts or daily workload.
• On-board new customer.
• Maintains Customer Relationship.
• Manages employees including interview, training, evaluation and coaching, as well as time and attendance for the team.
• Reviews daily reports to eliminate errors, including financial reports.
• Maintain SOP for customers.

Your role on the team:

• Facilitate daily communication with teammates, providing support to resolve day to day issues and escalations
• Lead troubleshooting efforts that analyze root causes and implement solutions

What you need:

• Minimum 4 to 7 years relevant experience and/or training in the industry; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Licensed Customs Broker strongly preferred
• Must be PC literate and proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
• Effective presentation skills
• Problem Solving complex issues
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
