Job summary

Odyssey Logistics is seeking a Customs Brokerage Manager in Fife, WA. You will oversee the Customs Brokerage department, manage daily import clearance activities, ensure exceptional customer service, and drive performance, training, and workload balance across the team.

The role requires strong leadership and a track record of improving processes, with a focus on accuracy, billing, and interdepartmental communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Customs Brokerage import experience.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory/management experience in logistics, specifically in a Customs Brokerage department.
• Customs House Brokerage License preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Proven ability to lead, support, train, and develop team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Customs Brokerage department, providing structure and direction to the team.
• Evaluate employee performance and follow wage guidelines.
• Define staff responsibilities and ensure workloads are distributed effectively.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to help staff complete responsibilities.
• Train and support ongoing development of department staff.
• Address questions, conflicts, and training needs while fostering collaboration.
