Job summary

Expeditors in Moon Township, PA is seeking a Customs Brokerage Lead Agent to deliver exceptional customer service and manage timely data entry and customs declarations. You will monitor files, ensure accurate client billing, and develop expertise in import procedures while maintaining compliance with regulations.

The role requires strong interpersonal, organizational, and multi-tasking skills, with a bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to listen, understand, and communicate clearly.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service through proactive and professional communication with internal and external customers.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system.
  • Monitor and track customs files to ensure timely processing and visibility.
  • Ensure accurate and timely client billing.
  • Develop understanding of import customs procedures and apply to meet customer requirements.
  • Transfer customs declaration information into the customs entry system for valid declarations.
  • Support verification, preparation, and submission of customs declarations to authorities.
  • Maintain full compliance with applicable regulations and policies.
  • Hours Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Candidates must pass a background check.

Job Description

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service through proactive and professional communication with both internal and external customers.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system.
  • Monitor and track customs files to ensure timely processing and visibility.
  • Ensure accurate and timely client billing
  • Develop a thorough understanding of import customs procedures and apply this knowledge to meet customer requirements and expectations.
  • Transfer customs declaration information from documents, or other sources into the customs entry system to allow for the build of a valid customs declaration.
  • Support the verification, preparation, and submission of customs declarations to the appropriate customs authorities.
  • Maintain full compliance with all applicable customs regulations, company policies, and industry requirements.
  • Hours Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Successful candidates must pass a background check
