Job summary

CEVA Logistics is seeking a Customs Brokerage Import II for a permanent, full-time role in Des Plaines, IL. The position focuses on inbound/outbound shipments, processing documentation, and coordinating with U.S. Customs for timely releases.

The role supports a hybrid schedule with weekend shifts and a pay range of $21.66–$27.08 per hour. Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED (Associates preferred) and 1–3 years of related experience, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED; Associates Degree preferred
• 1–3 years related experience
• Professional certification may be required in some areas

Responsibilities

• Serve as single point of coordination between customers, U.S. Customs and Border protection and other agencies to ensure service commitments are achieved
• Provide excellent and timely customer service by informing clients of shipment status and routing technical questions to the broker
• Receive, review and process documentation for assigned accounts and update CEVA systems accordingly
• Obtain releases from government agencies and arrange receiving or delivery while ensuring timely invoicing
• Process duties for compliant release and timely delivery, including OGA release and cargo delivery setup
• Perform initial reviews and advise supervisor of problems or irregularities in transactions
• Ensure customer profile data is updated; prepare quotations and communications as directed
• Manage pre-alerts daily to track freight arrivals and document receipt
