Job summary

Uber's Engineering Security team is hiring a Technical Lead Manager for the Customer Trust group within SRC. This hands-on leadership role blends strategy with direct delivery, building automation, tooling, and partnerships with customer security teams worldwide.

You will guide the team, own end-to-end customer trust activities, and translate complex risks into clear leadership decisions, while growing the function and delivering secure experiences for Uber's enterprise customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, CE, IS, or related field.
• 6+ years in information security; 2+ years in customer trust/security assurance or GRC.
• Experience leading a team or workstream with accountability.
• Hands-on scripting in Python or Go for automating workflows.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST CSF, CIS and mapping to customer reqs.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to present risk to executives.
• Experience engaging with external customer or partner security teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the Customer Trust service end-to-end: responses, artifacts, and the customer-facing trust portal.
• Set strategic goals and ship improvements; build automation and tooling.
• Balance workload across inbound requests, sales deadlines, and projects.
• Coach and grow the team; set expectations and accountability.
• Communicate status, capacity, risk, and priorities with stakeholders.
• Respond to security questionnaires and RFPs; explain Uber's controls to customers.
• Build integrations (Slack, ServiceNow, internal APIs) and AI-assisted drafting.
• Deploy and operate security tooling across GRC platforms and internal services.
• Translate customer findings into clear decisions for security, legal, and business leaders.
