Job summary

Billerud NA is seeking a Customer Technical Services Representative to provide proactive technical support to customers, sales teams, and brand owners. You will guide product applications, support trials at customer sites, and coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, and R&D to ensure successful implementation.

The role requires a bachelor's in Engineering, Science, Paper, Packaging or related field, strong analytical and communication skills, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Paper, Packaging, Graphic Arts, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated professional experience in manufacturing, pulp and paper, packaging, or printing technology.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Technical background with suppliers or customers in the pulp, paper, and packaging or related manufacturing industries.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical contact for customers, providing expert guidance on product applications, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Coordinate and support product trials at customer sites, ensuring successful implementation and performance validation.
• Analyze and resolve technical issues related to product performance, working with customers and internal teams.
• Deliver technical training and education to customers and internal stakeholders on product features and methods.
• Gather and communicate customer feedback to internal teams for product and service improvement.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key customer contacts, acting as trusted advisor for their technical needs.
• Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for product improvement.
• Document and report on technical activities, including trial outcomes and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, R&D, Manufacturing, and Customer Service to align technical support with business goals.
• Participate in new product development and commercialization, providing customer insights and technical expertise.
• Support quality assurance initiatives by investigating complaints and performing root cause analysis.
