Job summary

Nebraska Humane Society in Omaha, NE seeks a Lead Customer Support Specialist to oversee a team of Customer Support Specialists, ensuring timely, professional interactions and high quality service. The role reports to the Customer Support Manager and operates on a Sunday through Thursday schedule.

You will guide staff, manage daily tasks, handle donations and licenses, and assist with adoptions while maintaining accuracy in data entry and customer records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 19 years of age or older.
• Minimum 3 years of customer service experience.
• Computer experience, ability to learn proprietary software, general clerical skills.
• Professional demeanor, teamwork, and good judgment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Represent NHS in a professional, compassionate manner.
• Greet, assist and direct the public.
• Handle multiple tasks and serve many people efficiently.
• Process pet licenses and update customer records.
• Assist with adoptions and counseling as needed.
• Resolve customer complaints in person and by phone.
• Open/close shelter and manage daily cash drawers as needed.
