Alta Resources in the United States seeks a Logistics Analyst to process incoming orders, optimize cost and service, and conduct detailed analyses of order and supply chain issues using advanced systems and process excellence tools.

The Logistics Analyst will process incoming orders, manage logistics to optimize cost and service, and conduct detailed analysis on order and supply chain issues utilizing advanced systems and process excellence tools. This position will implement process improvements through cross-functional collaboration as well as partnering with customers to drive achievement of organizational metrics and individual account goals.
Although this position will not have responsibility for direct reports, the position requires active leadership in the way of supporting strategic initiatives as well as active personal development and application of Six Sigma methodologies.

Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year university or college required, an advanced degree is preferred. A minimum of two (2) years of supply chain related experience is required.
This position requires a working knowledge of computer technology that includes: Windows, PowerPoint, Advanced Word and Excel, along with Client designated software. Individuals must possess the ability to learn and understand new software and other technology applications as introduced by Client and Alta Resources.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
