Job summary

Ewing Outdoor Supply in Houston, TX is seeking a dependable Customer Service Associate to join our operations team. The role combines customer service, warehouse operations, inventory support, and local deliveries, with on-foot work and daily route deliverables in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

No prior industry experience is required, as we provide world-class training to set you up for success from day one; must be comfortable lifting 50–70 pounds, and hold a valid driver’s license

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Able to lift 50–70 pounds.
• Comfortable delivering daily routes in a light- to mid-duty vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Go the extra mile to engage customers
• Greet and direct customers
• Provide accurate information (e.g. product features, pricing and after-sales services)
• Answer customers’ questions about specific products/services
• Conduct price and feature comparisons to facilitate purchasing
• Cross-sell products
• Ensure racks are fully stocked
• Manage returns of merchandise
• Coordinate with your team to provide excellent customer service (especially during peak times)
• Inform customers about discounts and special offers
• Provide customer feedback to the Store Manager
• Stay up-to-date with new products/services
• Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes
• Follow routes and time schedule
• Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle
• Ask for feedback on provided services and resolve clients’ complaints
• Inform customers about new products and services
• Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
• Prior Outdoor Supply Industry Experience
• Must be comfortable working most of your shift on your feet and performing repetitive physical tasks
• Must be comfortable operating and making deliveries on a daily route in an Isuzu NRR 650 or similar commercial vehicle
• Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Basic math skills
• Be able to lift 50-70 pounds
• Excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships
• Ability to perform in fast-paced environments
• Valid driver’s license
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Good driving record with no traffic violations
