Job summary

Ewing Outdoor Supply in Gilbert Islands, IL is hiring for a versatile role that combines customer service, warehouse operations, inventory support, and daily local deliveries. You will help customers, stock shelves, and assist sales while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

No prior industry experience is required as training is provided; bilingual English/Spanish is a bonus. You must be comfortable lifting, driving on daily routes, and following safety standards.

• Prior outdoor supply industry experience preferred.
• Valid driver''s license required.
• Able to lift 50–70 pounds.
• Comfortable with repetitive physical tasks.
• Willing to operate delivery vehicle daily on routes.

Responsibilities

• Go the extra mile to engage customers

• Provide accurate information (e.g. product features, pricing and after-sales services)
• Answer customers’ questions about specific products/services
• Conduct price and feature comparisons to facilitate purchasing

• Ensure racks are fully stocked
• Manage returns of merchandise
• Coordinate with your team to provide excellent customer service (especially during peak times)
• Inform customers about discounts and special offers
• Provide customer feedback to the Store Manager
• Stay up-to-date with new products/services
• Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes
• Follow routes and time schedule
• Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle
• Ask for feedback on provided services and resolve clients’ complaints
• Inform customers about new products and services
• Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
• Prior Outdoor Supply Industry Experience
• Must be comfortable working most of your shift on your feet and performing repetitive physical tasks, such as stooping, squatting, and lifting items above your head.
• Must be comfortable operating and making deliveries on a daily route in an Isuzu NRR 650 or similar commercial vehicle.
• Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Basic math skills
• Be able to lift 50-70 pounds
• Excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships
• Ability to perform in fast-paced environments
• Valid driver’s license
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Good driving record with no traffic violations
