Job summary

You will greet customers, handle lottery, bill-pay and Western Union transactions, process refunds and exchanges, operate the front-end register, and help ensure a clean, organized workspace. No prior experience required; a high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education and/or experience completed or working towards a high school diploma or GED. No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers cheerfully and answer questions; escalate to management when needed.
• Process lottery, bill-pay, and Western Union transactions in compliance with company and legal rules.
• Handle refunds or exchanges following policy to ensure quality customer service.
• Keep the desk area clean and organized; complete necessary logs for store compliance.
• Operate front-end scanning equipment and register; bag merchandise and assist customers with checkout.
• Manage cash, checks, debit/credit slips and coupons; maintain security and accurate cash drawer accounting; follow tobacco and alcohol guidelines.
• Know store layout, weekly ads, promotions to answer questions and upsell; support accurate ringing of merchandise.
• Collaborate with coworkers and supervisors to ensure smooth department/store operation.
• May perform other duties as required by management.
