Responsibilities

Greet customers, answer questions and resolve concerns promptly in a polite, professional manner.
Operate front end scanning equipment and cash register; bag merchandise and place items in carts.
Ensure accurate transactions and proper cash handling; collect payments and coupons.
Maintain cash drawer security and prevent overages/shortages.
Follow tobacco and alcohol sale guidelines.
Be knowledgeable about weekly ads, promotions and store layout to assist customers.
Maintain sanitation in the department and ensure health/OSHA compliance.
Cooperate with coworkers and supervisors to keep the department and store running smoothly.
Use provided PPE and assist in other departments as needed.
