Job summary

BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee is launching the BlueHorizon program, a year-long paid traineeship that combines on-the-job learning with college coursework at Chattanooga State Community College. As a Customer Service Trainee, you will gain hands-on experience helping members and providers navigate health benefits while working toward an Associate Degree in Health Sciences.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Acceptance to Chattanooga State required; FAFSA completion highly preferred.
• Dual enrollment during high school is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Engage with members and providers over the phone to address service inquiries.
• Problem-solve questions about eligibility, benefits, claims status, and more.
• Document conversations to ensure clear records.
• Communicate across Chat, Phone, Email, and TEAMS to reach resolution.
• Educate and inform members with complete and accurate information to resolve issues during the first contact.
