The City of Richmond’s Utility Department is seeking a Customer Service Technician to join our team and help maintain the city’s water and sewer system. The role works with the crew under general supervision to ensure reliable service for residents.
Key duties include field assessment, occasional service connections/disconnections, minor valve and manhole maintenance, sewer line cleaning and televising, and recommending corrections that are the owner's responsibility.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Under general supervision, the Customer Service Technician works with the crew to repair and maintain the City's water and sewer system. Responsible for field assessment; occasional service connects and disconnects; minor valve and manhole maintenance; cleaning and televising sewer lines; recommends methods for correcting problems that are the property owner's responsibility.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Formal Education:
High school diploma or equivalent GED.
Training (License and/or Certification):
Valid Class "C" Texas Driver's License
TCEQ Class C distribution desired or should be obtained within 2 years of employment.
TCEQ Class II wastewater collection license desired or should be obtained within 4 years of employment.
