Job summary

City of Harlingen Waterworks System is seeking a labor‑intensive field technician to perform water service connections and disconnections, including closures for non‑payment or customer requests. The role is outdoors and involves walking most of the day, not an office position.

In the absence of the supervisor, you may perform meter reading duties and assist with related field tasks. Training is provided and safety is a priority.

• Connect and disconnect water service for customers (including non-pay disconnects)
• Connect services for new customers or reconnect after payment
• Perform meter reading and supervisor duties in the absence of a supervisor
