Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a friendly Courtesy Clerk in West Des Moines, IA. You’ll help customers from the register to their car and keep the store clean, stocked, and welcoming.

In this hourly role you’ll greet customers, assist with bagging, helping transport purchases, stocking aisles, and train new team members as needed. On-the-job training is provided, with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction. The position offers part-time hours and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• No education or experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Excellent customer service skills and a helpful attitude.
• Ability to follow written or verbal instructions.
• Willingness to work as part of a store team.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service at the register.
• Package purchases and assist customers to their transportation.
• Bring in carts, manage cart corrals.
• Clean stores areas and restrooms; sweep and mop floors.
• Stock and rotate merchandise; maintain shelves and tags.
• Assist in training new courtesy clerks.
• Maintain hygiene and follow Hy-Vee policies.
• Report to work on time.
