Job summary

Hy-Vee Inc in Le Mars, IA is seeking a Courtesy Clerk to support daily store operations and provide friendly service to customers. This hourly role helps keep the store clean, stocked, and welcoming for everyone who walks through the door.

You will greet shoppers, assist with purchases, stock shelves, and support other departments as needed. Night and weekend shifts are required, and Hy-Vee provides training and opportunities to grow within a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Follow detailed written or verbal instructions.
• Perform simple addition and subtraction, copy figures, and count and record accurately.
• Understand and follow verbal or demonstrated directions and communicate supply needs orally or in writing.
• Work effectively as part of a team to keep the store clean and customers happy.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile, learning their names, and making every visit a great one.
• Package customer purchases and assist customers to transport them to their mode of transportation.
• Stock, face, and rotate merchandise, clean shelves, and know the location of merchandise in the store and backroom.
• Maintain front end supplies including paper and plastic bags, receipt paper, and other necessary items.
• Help train new courtesy clerks.
• Deliver product to customers and assist in all departments as needed.
