Job summary

Hy-Vee Inc is seeking a Courtesy Clerk to support customer service and store operations in Des Moines. In this role you will greet customers, assist with packaging, and help maintain a clean, welcoming store environment.

You'll also stock shelves, manage carts, check prices, and assist in other departments as needed while upholding Hy-Vee policies and store guidelines. Training is provided on arrival.

Qualifications

• No formal education or prior experience required; training will be provided.
• Customer service orientation and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow store procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a smile and provide prompt, friendly service.
• Package purchases and assist customers to their vehicle when needed.
• Bring carts in from the parking lot and manage cart corrals.
• Clean registers, restrooms, break room, and backroom; sweep and mop floors as needed.
• Stock, face, and rotate merchandise; understand shelf tags and locations.
• Pull products forward to maintain a full, organized appearance and check prices.
• Maintain front end supplies and assist in other areas as needed.
• Help train new courtesy clerks and support store operations.
