Position Overview

You will provide exceptional customer service and product support, playing a significant role in the overall customer experience. As a Customer Service Specialist I, you will be the face of HealthStream and become our clients’ biggest advocate! You will understand our products thoroughly and delight clients with your knowledge and positivity. You will also develop skills for your career path, whether within Customer Service or another department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to all security policies, procedures, and training.
  • Provide support via phone, email, and chat; work closely with customers and internal teams to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose reported problems, understanding and correcting issues.
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues and customers, communicating professionally and respectfully.
  • Identify, test, and document issues for the development team.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to provide a seamless customer experience.
  • Participate in testing new features and releases.
  • Recommend product improvements based on data and customer feedback.
Qualifications

Requirements

  • At least one year of experience in customer-facing roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; practical experience may suffice.
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry is a plus.

Additional Skills

  • Charismatic phone presence, excellent written communication.
  • Problem-solving skills, ownership, prioritization.
  • Effective communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and explain solutions simply.
  • Active listening and empathy.
  • Curiosity about how things work.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft OS, familiarity with Salesforce, Teams, basic SQL a plus.
  • Flexible schedule (7 AM - 7 PM CST), Monday to Friday.
  • Team-oriented attitude, willing to go the extra mile.
