Job summary

U-Haul in San Clemente, CA is seeking a friendly Customer Service Representative to be the face of our service team, assisting customers, inspecting and maintaining equipment, and using U-Scan tech to dispatch rentals.

Starting at $18.00 per hour with on-the-job training, two paid hands-on interviews, and bonus incentives including a $100 hiring bonus and a $300 certification bonus.

Evenings, weekends and holidays are expected as part of a supportive team focused on safe, reliable service.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required and clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with products and services.
• Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
• Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
• Clean and inspect equipment on the lot including fluid checks.
• Answer questions and educate customers regarding products and services.
• Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returned from rental.
• Install hitches and trailer wiring.
• Fill propane (certification offered upon employment).
• Drive a forklift (certification offered upon employment).
• Other duties as assigned.
• Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
