Job summary

Option 1 Staffing Services, Inc. in Monterey, CA seeks a dedicated Sleep Equipment Coordinator to dispense CPAP, AUTO CPAP, and BIPAP devices per physician prescriptions.

You will teach patients proper use, maintain HIPAA compliance, and collaborate with doctors and staff to ensure safe, effective therapy. The role is full-time, fully benefited, with no weekend shifts, offering a patient-focused environment where accuracy, integrity, and strong communication are essential for improving patient

Qualifications

• HS Diploma
• 2+ years customer service experience
• 1 year retail experience
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Exposure to healthcare is a plus
• Bilingual is a plus

Responsibilities

• Dispense medical equipment per physician prescription(s)
• Teach patients proper use of sleep therapy equipment
• Adhere to Physician’s orders, Medicare standards, and HIPAA regulations
• Communicate with Doctor's office and medical staff
• Inspect, test, and maintain respiratory therapy equipment
• Set equipment controls to regulate flow of positive airway pressure
• Help patients find the right-fitting mask for their therapy
• Resolve technical problems with patients’ equipment

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medical equipment such as CPAP, AUTO CPAP, BIPAP to patients, according to the Physician's prescription(s)
• Teach the Patient proper use of sleep therapy equipment and comfort techniques
• Carefully adhere to the Physician’s orders, Medicare standards, and HIPAA regulations
• Communicate with the Doctor's office and medical staff
• Inspect, clean, test, and maintain respiratory therapy equipment to ensure equipment is functioning safely and efficiently
• Set equipment controls to regulate the flow of positive airway pressure
• Help patients find the right-fitting mask for their therapy
• Resolve technical problems with patients’ equipment

• Minimum 1 year of retail experience
