Job Responsibilities
- Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service.
- Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages customers to return.
- Embrace the Customer 1st strategy and encourage associates to deliver excellent customer service.
- Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
- Answer questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store.
- Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the departments and respond to questions and make suggestions about products.
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
- Ensure customer returns and exchanges are handled to satisfy customers while complying with company policies and procedures.
- Communicate new and ongoing special programs and promotions to customers.
- Handle funds, coupons, tenders, etc., according to company policy.
- Maintain awareness of inventory/stocking conditions and report discrepancies.
- Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
- Follow established policies and procedures for various store services and transactions.
- Observe scheduled shift operating hours and answer store telephone calls promptly and professionally.
- Ensure all store controls, safety procedures, and legal requirements are followed.
- Report safety risks, illegal activity, and accidents to management.
- Perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Minimum Requirements
- Must be 18 or older
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of basic math (e.g., counting, addition, and subtraction)

- Second language skills
- Ability to create a welcoming environment for customers
