Job summary

Public Storage is seeking a Property Associate to support customers across multiple sites. You will assess storage needs, suggest packing supplies, and help finalize rentals while ensuring spaces are ready and inventories are accurate.

The role requires strong customer service, cash handling, and the ability to travel between locations with a valid driver's license. Training provided; full-time schedules with day hours and occasional weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service centered sales environments such as retail or hospitality.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and own a vehicle for travel between locations.

Responsibilities

• Work independently at multiple locations, both indoors and outdoors.
• Assess storage needs and suggest packing/moving supplies.

Job Description

• Work independently at multiple locations, spending time both inside and outside
• Assess customer storage needs and make suggestions, including selling packing and moving supplies
• Conduct daily storage unit inspections to confirm inventory and availability, ensuring spaces are ready to rent
• Audit cash drawers and make bank deposits as part of daily business
• Keep customers current with payments and make reminder and collection calls as required

Physical Requirements

• Transport lift/move items weighing up to 35 pounds
• Walk/operate in facilities, spending up to 50% of time outdoors, including climbing stairs and opening large doors
• Perform cleaning and daily maintenance tasks: sweeping/mopping interior areas, maintaining exterior grounds and curb appeal

Qualifications

Experience: Successful candidates come from a variety of customer service centered sales environments including retail, restaurant, fast food or other service-based companies.

Transportation: Employees must have a valid driver’s license and own a vehicle to travel between locations or conduct work-related business. Mileage reimbursement available.
