Job summary

GoRaleigh in Raleigh, NC seeks a punctual, customer-focused team member to greet the public, sell bus passes, and provide GoRaleigh route information. The role handles cash, inventory, and daily deposits, with responsibilities for responding to customer inquiries and forwarding complaints to the proper departments.

Travel between locations may be required. The position supports frontline transit operations, including data collection and ensuring timely route information for customers.

Responsibilities

• Greet the public and sell bus passes.
• Provide GoRaleigh route schedule information at all service levels, in person or by phone.
• Respond to walk-up customer inquiries and forward complaints to the appropriate departments.
• Sell and manage inventory of GoRaleigh Bus Passes, Regional Bus Passes, and ART Tickets; report cash, checks, and card receipts to Finance and deposit daily.
• Remit daily sales forms; reconcile and maintain cash/checks with on-hand inventory.
• Prepare bank deposits based on daily sales reconciliations.
• Monitor bus route timeliness at the station and collect transit data as requested.
• Count, sort, and reconcile cash in the money room daily; drive company vehicle between locations as needed.
• Relieve receptionist and other CSRs during breaks; perform related duties as assigned.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Greetthe public; sell bus passes.
• ProvideGoRaleigh bus route schedule information at all levels of service - either inperson or over the telephone.
• Respondto walk-up customer inquiries; and receive customer service complaints, whichare to be forwarded to the appropriate departments.
• Responsiblefor the sales and inventory of GoRaleigh Bus Passes, Regional Bus Passes, andART Tickets. All receipts of cash, checks, and credit card sales are reportedto the Finance Department and deposited daily.
• Remitdaily sales forms; reconcile and maintain actual sales and cash/checks toon-hand inventory.
• Preparecorresponding daily bank deposit tickets based on a reconciliation of dailysales.
• Monitortimeliness of bus routes at this station and collect other transit data asrequested.
• Count,sort, and reconcile paper money and coins in the money room (vault) for 3 to 4hours daily on weekdays.
• Drivea company vehicle from one location to another as needed.
• Relievethe receptionist and other CSRs for their lunch break or for othermiscellaneous reasons periodically.
• Performother related duties as may be assigned.
