Job summary

Dayton Freight Lines, Inc. in Brownsburg, IN is seeking a part-time Customer Service Representative to help customers with pickup requests, rate quotes, shipments and tracing.

You will support the Service Center Manager, handle messages, assist drivers, and prepare bills of lading while maintaining strong communication with customers and interline partners.

Responsibilities

Customer Service Representatives are responsible for assisting Dayton Freight customers with a variety of inquires including freight pickup requests, rate quotes or freight charges, hot shipments, shipment tracing and appointments or special requests.

• Assist the Service Center Manager
• Take and deliver messages for the Service Center Manager and Account Managers
• Provide assistance to Drivers
• Prepare bills of lading and delivery receipts
• Maintain excellent communication with external and internal customers as well as interline companies

• Skillful in Microsoft Office Programs

Physical Demands

This position requires the ability to perform administrative and clerical tasks in an office and Service Center environment.
