Customer Service Representative (On Site Only)

Sells and promotes residential and business services of the company while handling new and existing customers. Assists customers with billing inquiries, new service requests, changes in service, and disconnects. Receives and posts walk-in, drop box, and mail payments from customers. Balances cash drawer and prepares appropriate reports and bank deposits.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assist customers in a friendly and courteous manner with new service requests, service plan changes, disconnects, reconnects, billing inquiries, service questions, customer issues and problems using defined policies and procedures. Completes appropriate service orders or paperwork accordingly.
  • Promotes and sells products, services and solutions to new, existing, and potential residential and business customers by educating customers and potential customers of the technology available to them as well as who Endeavor is as a cooperative.
  • Receives payments from customers, posts payments to appropriate accounts and issues receipts as requested.
  • Counts and balances cash drawers. Prepares and files various reports and records related to cash receipts and deposits. Prepares and delivers daily bank deposit.
  • Sends correspondence to customers including membership letters, welcome packets, etc.
  • Follows up with customers once installations and alterations are complete to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Performs various clerical duties which may include data entry, filing, opening and sorting mail, preparing correspondence and reports and completing other special projects.
  • Responsible for reaching established goals.
  • Attendance at Endeavor community events.
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned by management.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of company products and services.
  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of general office procedures.
  • Knowledge of basic cashiering and bookkeeping practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Skilled in operating various office equipment such as personal computer, copier, fax, and telephone systems.
  • Skilled in oral and written communication.
  • Skilled in prioritizing and completing multiple projects.
  • Skilled in identifying problems and resolutions.
  • Skilled in providing excellent customer service and the ability to communicate with customers, co-workers, and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Skilled in presenting and selling products and services.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to work with frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively function as a team player.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent, plus three to five years of customer service and/or sales experience (in telecommunication preferred). Experience in accepting payments, and working with the public would be a plus!
