Job summary

Merchants Metals is seeking a detail-oriented CSR in Bakersfield, CA to support customers and assist the Sales Representatives in soliciting and obtaining orders. This Monday through Friday day shift role offers a competitive hourly wage and emphasizes building product knowledge and delivering excellent service.

You will identify revenue opportunities, qualify leads within trading partners, respond to inquiries, and engage in technical product discussions to help customers find the right fencing

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Proven customer support experience.
• Strong phone contact handling and active listening.
• Customer orientation and adaptability to different characters.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

Pay: $21-$24 an hour, depending on experience

POSITION SUMMARY:

The CSR is responsible for assisting customers in assessing their needs. The CSR assists the Sales Representatives in soliciting and obtaining orders, understands and interprets customer requirements, provides product and technical information, and develops accounts.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
