Do you like a variety in your work and like working with the public? We are looking for a new team member to join our team working as a Customer Service Representative. In this role, you will be providing front desk duties to Health Department clients. You will be preparing and gathering relevant paperwork and data to identify the requested needs of the clients in-person and over the phone, providing rapid and accurate screening and referrals.
This position is located at our Central Public Health Center in Wheaton, with the following shifts: Monday and Friday from 7:45 am to 4:15 pm or 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 7:45 am to 4:15 pm, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, 10:30 am to 6:00 pm or 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. Rotating weekly shifts Flexibility to travel to other centers and provide coverage as needed.
The starting pay for this position is $15.77 per hour (May increase depending on experience)
PLUS a full benefit package.Completion of high school diploma/GED. One year of experience working in a customer service of human/social services related field is preferred. Bilingual in Spanish is required.
Attendance at paid New Hire Orientation is required. Good knowledge of modern office practices and procedures; some knowledge of medical terminology and filing systems; some knowledge of program requirements and eligibility.
