Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles, WA seeks a Customer Service Representative for the Heart Center. Primary duties include patient scheduling, data entry across multiple systems, verifying insurance coverage and obtaining authorizations, and assisting with patient registration.
Qualifications include a high school diploma (preferred) and knowledge of medical terminology. Prior experience as a Customer Service Assistant is valuable; Medical Assistant certificate preferred.

PAY RANGE: $21.33 - $29.45 UNION: UFCW 3000-Support Services
SHIFT DIFFERENTIALS/PREMIUMS: Weekend & Holiday Shifts: No On Call Shifts: No Shift Differentials: Evening - $3.00/hour Night- $5.00/hour Weekend - $4.50/hour
Premiums: Standby - $3.50/hour Lead - $3.25/hour
Per Diem - 15% (on base, in lieu of benefits)
The Customer Service Representative in the Heart Center performs tasks necessary to promote efficient departmental functions and operations. This position is responsible for daily activities, including but not limited to patient scheduling, timely and accurate entering of data into multiple computer systems, verifying insurance coverage and obtaining authorization for services, preparing charts, faxing and disposition of medical records, readying patients for their visits per department protocols, and assisting with answering phones and patient registration. The Customer Service Representative provides backup coverage for other clerical staff members in their absence.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
1-year minimum experience as Customer Service Assistant required with OMC or equivalent as determined by OMC. Knowledge of medical terminology required. Completed required training for and has the ability to work at all Heart Center locations.
Medical Assistant certificate preferred.
