Job Summary

Assists clients with any questions or concerns related to their shipments. Provides excellent customer service to achieve client satisfaction. Accurately records and logs interaction with customers to ensure data integrity for management reports and maintains productivity and service levels standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answers phone calls and emails in a timely, professional, and effective manner; Observes corporate guidelines when addressing customer inquiries regarding shipments.
  • Ensures that appropriate action is taken to resolve customers’ problems and concerns; Exhausts all available tools to ensure customer’s needs are satisfied within first communication.
  • Reaches out to respective departments outside of Export Traffic Customer Service to amend and fix any discrepancies. Escalates unique or complex issues to the appropriate supervisor for resolution when necessary.
  • Anticipates potential problems before they arise as well as having problem solving skills to solve any unforeseen issues; Goes the extra mile providing additional information to enhance customer’s experience.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications & Key Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience in supply chain, transportation, shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, customer service, etc. (preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to details
  • Organized, efficient, and able to manage time effectively
  • Strong customer service mindset, focused, and responsive
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Works well as part of a team
  • Knowledge of MS Excel with the ability to learn new software
