The Greater Capital Area Association of REALTORS, one of the largest local REALTOR associations in the U.S., represents more than 11,000 REALTOR members from Washington, DC, and Montgomery County, MD. We serve as the local voice for real estate and provide resources to help our members succeed. Our goal is to deliver outstanding value and exceptional service to our members and communities.

The Customer Services Representative will be professional and courteous, communicating with members via email, telephone, or in person. They will greet members, potential members, and guests, providing exceptional customer service.

Work Location: The position is based in our Rockville, MD office on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and in our Washington, DC office on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Responsibilities Include:

  1. Conduct oneself professionally with colleagues, members, and the public.
  2. Assist members and guests through walk-ins, curbside pickups, phone calls, and emails.
  3. Troubleshoot members’ needs to find positive, professional resolutions.
  4. Become proficient in members and billing services, and cross-train in education and events to assist with all inquiries.
  5. Assist with processing new member applications and database entry.
  6. Maintain accurate information in databases such as Rapattoni, SentriLock, and NAR/NRDS.
  7. Assist with members’ SentriKey app and lockbox needs.
  8. Support members’ annual dues billing.
  9. Keep the Member Services Director informed of member concerns or issues.
  10. Collaborate with the Database Administrator to learn best practices for database management.
  11. Ensure the member services area is well-stocked.
  12. Reconcile daily batch of member store products.
  13. Promote benefits of local, state, and national REALTOR associations.
  14. Support other teams and departments as needed.
  15. Assist in transporting materials to the DC office when required.
  16. Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of customer service experience.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of multitasking.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional listening skills and patience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work in person at our MD and DC offices.
  • Reliable transportation to commute between offices.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
  • Applicants must put any active real estate license on ‘Inactive’ status prior to employment.

Compensation: From $50,000 to $52,000 per year.
