Job summary

LEL Environmental in Pasadena, Texas is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our team at our headquarters. Qualifications

• 3–5 years of environmental industry experience required.
• Knowledge of RCRA and DOT regulations required.
• Experience with hazardous and non-hazardous waste, waste profiling and manifesting.
• Familiarity with LDRs, BOLs, shipping papers and tracking documentation.
• Customer service and account management experience essential.
• Logistics and transportation coordination experience.
• Experience with customer portals and company systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of disposal technologies and waste classifications.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer calls, service requests, billing questions and service issues.
• Coordinate waste transportation and disposal services.
• Create sales orders, quotes, purchase orders, and service reports.
• Manage customer accounts and ensure information is accurate and up to date.
• Set up new customers and maintain waste profiles, recertifications, and amendments.
• Review and process manifests, shipping papers, LDRs, BOLs, and related documentation.
• Coordinate transporter requests and customer pickup schedules.
• Resolve off-spec issues and communicate with customers and internal teams.
• Support daily billing and resolve billing questions and unbilled items.
• Work with finance and collections teams regarding customer credit.
• Use daily reports to monitor and manage accounts.

This is an in-office position for someone who understands the environmental and waste industry and can confidently work with customers, technical teams, transportation partners, and internal operations.

You'll play an important role in keeping customer accounts, service requests, documentation, billing, and daily operations moving smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

You'll work closely with customers, account managers, technical service teams, logistics, billing, and management to:

• Handle customer calls, service requests, billing questions, and service issues

Education & Certifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years of environmental industry experience
• Successful completion of LEL Environmental proficiency testing
• RCRA Hazardous Waste Management training, DOT Hazmat certification, and 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER or equivalent
