Job summary

Expeditors is seeking a Logistics Coordinator / Customer Service Representative in Milpitas to support the distribution team. You will manage customer orders, coordinate inbound/outbound shipments, and serve as the main point of contact among customers, warehouse staff, and carriers.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in customer service, logistics, transportation, warehousing, order management, or supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned distribution customers
• Process customer orders and maintain accurate work orders, shipment records, and supporting documentation
• Coordinate inbound receipts, outbound shipments, returns, and special projects
• Communicate order status, shipment updates, inventory concerns, delays, and operational exceptions
• Partner with warehouse, transportation, inventory, and internal teams to resolve customer requests
• Review inventory availability and investigate discrepancies across warehouse and customer systems
• Coordinate pickup and delivery requirements with carriers and transportation providers
• Maintain customer trackers, exception logs, SOPs, reports, and shipment documentation
• Support urgent shipping requests, special handling requirements, and time-sensitive deliveries
• Escalate service failures, inventory discrepancies, and transportation issues when needed

Day to Day:As a Logistics Coordinator / Customer Service Representative, you'll support Expeditors' Milpitas Distribution team by coordinating customer orders, inventory activity, inbound and outbound shipments, and transportation requirements. You'll serve as a key point of contact between customers, warehouse operations, carriers, and internal teams while ensuring orders are processed accurately and customers receive timely updates.
