Job summary

Telemedik is seeking a Health Services Representative to serve as the first point of contact for members in Puerto Rico. You will provide phone support, explain health plan details, and resolve routine inquiries with a professional and empathetic approach.

Opportunities exist to support services across the United States in a dynamic, international environment. This full-time/temporary role requires on-site work in Guaynabo or Mayagüez and a commitment to HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Customer Service experience.
• High school diploma required.
• Knowledge of computer applications and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent verbal, written, and reading communication skills.
• Bilingual Spanish and English preferred.
• Ability to work rotating shifts (Mon-Fri, 8:00am–6:00pm).
• Strong customer service orientation, empathy and proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Answer member calls and provide clear information about their health plans.
• Guide and educate members about coverages, benefits and plan promotions.
• Document inquiries, actions taken and follow-ups, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Escalate unresolved situations or complaints to supervisors or appropriate departments.
• Participate in outbound calls, Contact Center projects and training programs.
• Maintain confidentiality of information and comply with HIPAA and internal policies.

Document inquiries, actions taken, and follow-ups, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Escalate unresolved situations or complaints to supervisors or the appropriate departments.

Participate in outbound calls, Contact Center projects, and training programs.

Maintain confidentiality of information and comply with regulations such as HIPAA and internal policies.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of Customer Service experience.

High school diploma required (college credits preferred).

Knowledge of computer applications and Microsoft Office.

Excellent verbal, written, and reading communication skills.

Availability to work rotating shifts (Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 6:00pm).
