  • Obtains necessary contact information from customer.
  • Collects and enters payments, balances drawer and submits cash journal reports.
  • Contact customers when issues arise.
  • Communicates with Building Services staff regarding rental changes.
  • Maintains clean and organized workspace.
  • Answers phone, email and assists walk-in visitors.
  • Follows up with renters and customers who have balances and paperwork due.
  • Scans and files documents.
  • Availability Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, flexibility for scheduled City events.

The City of Lenexa Parks and Recreation department is currently accepting applications for a Customer Service Representative to work out of the Rec Center and Old Town Activity Center facilities. Schedule

This year-round position averages 20 hours per week and offers a flexible schedule, generally Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. The position also requires availability to work scheduled City events, which may occur outside of regular business hours.

Position Summary

Minimum Qualifications

Rate of pay

$18.96 per hour.

Physical and Environmental Factors

Work is performed in a busy environment. This position requires the ability to sit for prolonged periods; mobility to move about the parks and recreation facilities as needed; and visual acuity to review information for accuracy and thoroughness of the work assigned.
